Albany International Taps Aerospace Finance Veteran Willard Station as CFO
Albany International Corp. has appointed Willard Station as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2025. The move signals a strategic pivot toward deeper operational alignment and financial rigor across its aerospace composites division, Albany Engineered Composites (AEC).
Station brings a rare blend of aerospace finance and operational leadership, having spent 16 years at Boeing, including roles as CFO of Commercial Derivatives Airplanes and Director of Financial Operations for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. His tenure at Boeing coincided with major program transitions and cost optimization efforts, giving him firsthand experience in managing complex aerospace portfolios.
Most recently, Station led sales operations at McKesson Medical-Surgical, but his return to aerospace through Albany suggests a renewed focus on growth and profitability in high-performance materials for commercial and defense platforms. Albany’s AEC division has been steadily expanding its footprint in advanced composites, supporting programs such as the F-35 and next-generation narrowbody aircraft.
“Will’s background in aerospace finance and his operational acumen make him uniquely suited to guide Albany through its next phase of strategic growth,” said Gunnar Kleveland, Albany’s President and CEO. “His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to scale our engineered composites business and deepen our partnerships across the aerospace sector.”
Station succeeds Jairaj (JC) Chetnani, who served as interim CFO since May. The transition comes as Albany continues to invest in automation and advanced materials processing, positioning itself as a key supplier in the evolving aerospace supply chain.
With 30 facilities across 13 countries and a workforce of over 5,400, Albany International is well-positioned to capitalize on the aerospace industry’s demand for lightweight, durable, and scalable composite solutions. Station’s appointment may mark a turning point in how the company balances innovation with disciplined financial execution.
