Sierra Space Appoints Jeff Schrader as Chief Financial Officer

Sierra Space has named Jeff Schrader as chief financial officer, advancing a leadership transition that aligns with the company’s push to scale execution across national security and commercial space programs. Schrader joined Sierra Space earlier this year as chief strategy officer and now assumes responsibility for financial strategy, capital planning, and enterprise performance as the company enters its next phase of expansion.

Background Across National Security and Advanced Space Systems

Schrader brings more than 25 years of experience supporting national security missions and guiding complex aerospace organizations. His career began as a financial analyst in the United States Air Force, where he later served as chief financial officer for special programs and for the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office. He subsequently held P and L responsibility as president of SEAKR Engineering and Blue Canyon Technologies, overseeing a combined workforce of more than 1,000 employees and leading corporate development and capital efficient growth.

Before joining Sierra Space, Schrader served as vice president of strategy and business development at Lockheed Martin Space, supporting a business area valued at approximately 13 billion dollars. His background spans classified and unclassified programs, spacecraft production, and advanced subsystem development, experience that aligns closely with Sierra Space’s expanding portfolio.
