Greybull Stewardship Acquires Genesys Industries to Advance U.S. Precision Manufacturing Capacity

Greybull Stewardship has acquired Genesys Industries, forming a strengthened platform of American precision manufacturers with deep relevance to aerospace supply chains facing historic production demand. The move brings together three long standing U.S. brands with nearly a century of combined manufacturing heritage and established positions across commercial aviation, defense and industrial markets.

Three Heritage Brands Form a Unified Manufacturing Platform

Genesys Industries integrates Avia Marine Company, Latrobe Foundry and Sterner Screw Machine into a single organization focused on high precision, high reliability components.

Avia Marine Company, founded in 1960, supplies aircraft interior hardware, latches, handles and electromechanical assemblies for commercial aviation programs. Latrobe Foundry, operating since 1933, is one of the nation’s oldest aluminum foundries and produces cast and machined fittings used across aerospace and industrial systems. Sterner Screw Machine, established in 1986, manufactures high volume precision fasteners for aviation, hydraulic, fluid power and automation applications.

Together, these businesses create a vertically capable platform producing components ranging from raw aluminum castings to certified flight hardware. The combined portfolio also includes proprietary product lines and multiple sole source positions that support aerospace, power generation, data center, medical and maritime customers.

Positioned to Support Expanding Aerospace Production

The acquisition comes as global aircraft manufacturers face unprecedented backlogs and pressure to increase output. Airbus and Boeing collectively hold more than a decade of orders, and suppliers across all tiers are being asked to expand capacity while maintaining domestic sourcing and quality assurance.

Genesys Industries was built to address these needs through a combination of legacy expertise, proprietary tooling and a diversified manufacturing footprint. With Greybull’s backing, the company plans to pursue additional acquisitions of U.S. based precision manufacturers to further scale its capabilities.

Leadership Continuity and Growth Strategy

Tony Lyons, Founder and CEO of Genesys Industries, will continue to lead the company following the transaction. Greybull Stewardship emphasized the platform’s strong intellectual property base, momentum in critical end markets and potential for expansion into new product verticals.

Both organizations highlighted a shared founder first philosophy and a long term approach to building a premier American manufacturing company capable of supporting next generation aerospace and industrial programs.

Company Outlook

Greybull’s investment positions Genesys Industries to expand its role as a domestic supplier of precision components at a time when aerospace and defense manufacturers are prioritizing resilient, U.S. based production. With additional acquisitions planned, the platform is expected to grow its footprint and deepen its relevance across flight hardware, mission critical systems and advanced industrial applications.
