ATC Expands Component MRO Platform With Acquisition of Aero Controls, Inc.
ATC Group has announced the acquisition of Aero Controls, Inc., a long established provider of specialized component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. The move strengthens ATC’s position as a growing MRO platform serving commercial and military aviation operators that rely on high quality component support.
Acquisition Strengthens Engineering Depth and Technical Capabilities
Aero Controls brings more than four decades of experience in precision engineered component repair. Its portfolio spans avionics, electromechanical systems, pneumatics, transmissions, hydraulics, and emergency equipment, all of which are critical to fleet reliability and dispatch performance. Integrating these capabilities into ATC’s existing operations broadens the company’s in house engineering resources and enhances its ability to support complex ATA chapter requirements.
The Seattle headquartered organization will continue operating under its current leadership, ensuring continuity for customers while enabling a smooth integration into ATC’s broader network.
Expanded Presence in a Key Aerospace Region
The acquisition extends ATC’s geographic footprint into the Pacific Northwest, a region that remains central to global aerospace manufacturing and aftermarket activity. This added presence positions ATC to support operators and suppliers across a major aviation hub while creating new opportunities for collaboration with regional partners.
ATC leadership noted that the combination of expanded reach and deeper engineering expertise strengthens the company’s value proposition for airlines seeking a single source provider for component MRO services.
Alignment With ATC’s Growth Strategy
The transaction marks ATC’s second acquisition since partnering with AE Industrial Partners in 2025. It follows the company’s purchase of PAS MRO and reflects a continued strategy to build a comprehensive component repair platform capable of serving a wide range of commercial and defense customers.
AE Industrial Partners emphasized that the addition of Aero Controls enhances the platform’s technical capabilities and supports long term growth objectives across the aerospace aftermarket.
