Nullspace Secures $2.5M to Advance RF and Quantum Simulation Software for Aerospace and Defense
Nullspace Inc., a Huntsville-based deep tech startup, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding to accelerate development of its next-generation electromagnetic simulation software. Led by Fathom Fund with participation from Golden Seeds and strategic angel investors, the round positions Nullspace to expand its engineering team and scale go-to-market efforts across aerospace, defense, quantum computing, and AI-enabled hardware sectors.
Founded by Dr. Masha Petrova and Dr. Daniel Faircloth, Nullspace is tackling one of the most persistent bottlenecks in high-performance engineering: outdated simulation tools that struggle with the complexity and scale of modern RF and quantum systems.
Simulation Software Built for the Frontier
Nullspace’s flagship product, Nullspace EM, is designed to simulate large-scale RF systems with full-fidelity accuracy and speed. This capability is increasingly critical in aerospace applications such as satellite communications, radar systems, and electronic warfare, where design complexity and electromagnetic performance are tightly coupled.
The company also offers Nullspace ES, reportedly the only commercial tool capable of simulating extremely large ion traps for quantum computing architectures. As quantum systems inch closer to commercialization, simulation tools like these will be essential for hardware validation and design optimization.

The board also welcomes Dr. Nathan Kundtz, founder of Rendered AI and former CEO of Kymeta Corporation, adding further depth in simulation and RF commercialization.
