Radius Aerospace Appoints Industry Veteran Tyler Evans as Chief Executive Officer
Radius Aerospace has named Tyler Evans as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition for the complex‑fabrications supplier at a time when aerospace and defense manufacturers are expanding production and seeking greater supply chain resilience. Former CEO Tony Johnson will continue to support the company as a member of the Board of Directors.
Leadership Experience Spanning Major Defense Engine and Manufacturing Programs
Evans brings more than 30 years of aerospace and defense experience across engineering, program management and business development. His background includes senior leadership roles at Pratt and Whitney’s Military Engines division, where he contributed to major propulsion programs, and at Aerojet Rocketdyne, where he served as President of Missile Solutions. Most recently, he led Consolidated Boring as CEO, growing the business before its acquisition by Applied Aerospace and Defense.
His experience across propulsion, missile systems and precision manufacturing positions him to guide Radius as the company expands its role in high complexity forming, welding, bonding and special processing for commercial and defense platforms.
Strengthening a Key Supplier in the Aerospace and Defense Industrial Base
Radius Aerospace provides vertically integrated manufacturing solutions for aircraft structures, engine components and defense systems. Its capabilities in forming, fabrication and special processing support long standing customer relationships across major airframe and propulsion programs.
Arlington Capital Partners, the company’s owner, emphasized Radius’s strategic importance within the aerospace and defense supply chain. The firm noted the company’s technical depth, multi site footprint and strong customer base as foundations for continued growth under Evans’s leadership.
Focus on Capability Expansion and Customer Responsiveness
Evans highlighted Radius’s differentiated position in the market and expressed a commitment to investing in people, processes and manufacturing capabilities. The company aims to continue delivering the quality, reliability and responsiveness expected by airframe and engine manufacturers as production rates increase across commercial and defense programs.
Arlington Capital Partners underscored Evans’s track record of scaling precision manufacturing businesses and building market leading organizations, noting that his experience aligns with Radius’s next phase of growth.
