GALT Aerospace Expands C3ISR Capabilities With Acquisition of North Star Scientific

GALT Aerospace has announced a strategic partnership and acquisition of North Star Scientific, adding a highly specialized portfolio of communications, radar, and radio frequency technologies to its growing defense platform. The move represents GALT’s first acquisition since joining the Godspeed Capital portfolio in 2026 and significantly strengthens the company’s position in command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance markets.

Enhancing High‑Reliability Communications and RF Capabilities

North Star Scientific, based in Kapolei, Hawaii, brings a deep bench of engineering talent and a differentiated intellectual property portfolio spanning high power RF amplifiers, transmitters, next generation antennas, and electronically scanned arrays. These technologies support a wide range of airborne and maritime missions, including airborne early warning and control, electronic sensing, and advanced communications.

The company’s products are fielded across major U.S. defense programs such as the E‑2D Hawkeye, E‑3 Sentry, E/A‑18 Growler, and MIDS JTRS. Its proximity to the Pacific Missile Range Facility and its new manufacturing center of excellence in Oklahoma City position NSS to transition advanced RF technologies from prototype to production at scale.

Strengthening GALT’s C3ISR Portfolio

GALT leadership emphasized that integrating NSS expands the company’s ability to deliver high reliability C3ISR solutions for national security customers. NSS’s expertise in advanced RF systems aligns directly with GALT’s mission to provide warfighter centric airborne command and control technologies.

NSS leadership echoed the alignment, noting that GALT’s technical depth and relationships across the defense community will accelerate innovation and broaden the impact of NSS technologies across priority programs.

Godspeed Capital’s Vision for a Scaled Defense Technology Platform

Godspeed Capital, which acquired GALT Aerospace in March 2026, described the NSS acquisition as a foundational step in building a market leading defense technology platform. The addition of NSS diversifies GALT’s program base, expands its technology portfolio, and strengthens its ability to support mission critical challenges across multiple domains.

The firm highlighted growing demand for resilient communications, advanced sensing, and RF technologies as defense customers adapt to increasingly contested operational environments.
