The two seat electric trainer is designed around an efficient propulsion architecture, a lightweight composite structure, and aerodynamic features intended to enhance safety and reduce operating costs for flight training operators.

Positioning Electric Propulsion for Training Markets
The company continues to frame the eFlyer family as a response to rising pilot training demand and the need for more sustainable, lower cost training platforms. Bye Aerospace reports that its electric aircraft can reduce energy and maintenance expenses by as much as 80 percent compared to conventional piston trainers, a shift that could reshape the economics of ab initio training and broaden access for students and operators.
Supplier Ecosystem Supporting Certification Path
As the eFlyer 2 moves toward flight test, Bye Aerospace has assembled a roster of established aerospace suppliers contributing propulsion, structures, avionics, and digital engineering capabilities. The company emphasizes that this network reflects a low risk development approach aligned with certification requirements for electric aircraft.

Composite fabrication and assembly of the full scale prototype, Serial Number 001, is being completed by Composite Approach. Ground Testing Progress and Flight Readiness
Bye Aerospace reports that the eFlyer 2 prototype has completed structural load testing across the wing, fuselage, and flight controls, along with limit load evaluations.
