Hadrian Launches Additive Manufacturing Division to Expand U.S. Defense Production Capacity

Hadrian has announced the launch of Hadrian Additive, a new division designed to bring scalable, production grade additive manufacturing capacity online for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. The initiative expands the company’s Opus factory platform to include additive systems engineered for qualification, repeatability, and sustained throughput, enabling defense programs to transition from validated designs into reliable, at scale production.

The new division embeds additive manufacturing directly into Hadrian’s existing factory architecture, creating a single end to end environment capable of supporting mission critical components. This approach reflects a broader shift in aerospace and defense manufacturing, where additive technologies are increasingly expected to meet the same reliability and traceability standards as traditional machining.

Company leadership emphasized that the goal is not experimental prototyping but industrialized production. The additive systems coming online in 2026 are being built to support programs that require consistent output, rigorous qualification, and rapid scaling.
